Naming a company is the first decision you make about what you want it to become. When we founded Ovoo Teknoloji A.Ş., we made that decision deliberately. We took the names of our company, our products and our infrastructure from the roots of the Turkish language, of Anatolia and of Turkic steppe culture. This is not decoration; it is a clear statement of what we build, with whom and where.
Ovoo: the marker that shows the way on the steppe
An ovoo is a cairn, a marker raised by stacking stones on top of one another across the steppes of Inner Asia. Ovoos stand at crossroads, mountain passes, hilltops and meeting places, showing travellers where they are and where to go next. Called ovoo by the Mongols and oboo or ovaa by the Altai and Tuvan Turks, this tradition is a shared steppe heritage of the Turkic and Mongolic worlds.
For us, the ovoo is a powerful metaphor. A single measurement from the field is like a single stone: on its own, it says little. But when it is stacked with the right device, the right software, the right data model and the right analysis, it becomes a marker that shows an organisation the way. That is exactly what Ovoo does: it turns scattered field data into a reference point that can be trusted when making decisions.
Made in Türkiye, engineered in Türkiye
Ovoo Teknoloji is one of the pioneering companies in Türkiye performing AI-powered energy analysis with its own hardware and software. We do not just follow new technologies; we build them.
From the circuit board and embedded software of the measurement device in the field, to the communication between the device and the centre, to the data infrastructure, the dashboard the user sees and the AI experts, we design and develop every layer in Türkiye, drawing on the expertise of Turkish engineers. Our systems run on infrastructure in Türkiye. We know what it means for a country to produce not just the box, but the intelligence inside it.
That is why the names we give our products are, for us, a statement of belonging. Each one reminds us every day of what we do and for whom.
Cinga
In Central Anatolia, cinga is the word for an electric spark; depending on the region it is pronounced çınga, cinga or çinga. We could not have found a better name for a product built to understand energy. A spark is small, but it signals that something has begun. So does every measurement from the field: read correctly, it is the first sign of a fault, a loss or an opportunity.
Cinga is Ovoo's first product platform. It makes sense of data from energy infrastructure using scientific methods and AI, enabling organisations to make more accurate, faster and measurable decisions. It collects voltage, current, power and energy data from devices in the field. With Cinga Score, it rates grid quality, motor condition and reactive power penalty risk. And with Cinga AI, it answers the facility owner's questions in their own language.
We see Cinga as an AI-powered national decision support system. We do not have to wait for a foreign solution to understand how a motor at a pumping station is running, or how much clean energy a power plant is feeding into the grid.
Cinga AI's experts: Suv, Kün, Temir and Tarıg
Every question put to Cinga AI first passes through a router that works out which domain it belongs to, and then reaches that domain's expert. Within its domain, each expert examines energy analysis, reactive power and penalty risk, power quality, electrical health, anomalies and root causes. We trained our experts specifically for Türkiye. Turkish engineers determine what an expert knows, how it looks at measurements and how it reaches each conclusion. Underpinning them are Türkiye's grid structure, its reactive energy regulations and penalty rules, and the measurements our own devices collect in the field. In other words, Cinga AI is not a translation of a system built for another country's conditions; it is a team of experts who know the field in this land.
We took our experts' names from Old Turkic, from words that have come down to us from Mahmud al-Kashgari's Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk.
Suv means "water" in Old Turkic. It is the expert for water and pumping stations. It monitors the behaviour, energy consumption and maintenance needs of the pumps that carry a city's water.
Kün means "sun" and "day". It is the expert for solar power plants. It reads generation, power quality and losses along the path from the panels to the grid.
Temir means "iron". A symbol of industry, this name belongs to the expert for industrial facilities. It monitors the health of motors and electrical infrastructure in energy-intensive plants.
Tarıg means "crops, produce of the field" in Old Turkic; today's Turkish word tarım (agriculture) comes from the same root. It is the expert for agricultural irrigation. It monitors the energy consumption and operating patterns of the pumps that carry water to the soil, easing the burden of irrigation costs on farmers.
Qapu: the gate everything passes through
Qapu is the old form of the Turkish word for "gate". It is Ovoo's data and integration backbone: the place where data from field devices enters the system, identities are verified and products connect to one another. It never sits in the shop window, but everything passes through it.
From measurement to decision: all together
Each of these names is a stop on the path a measurement takes on its way to becoming a decision. The spark is born in the field in the Cinga Analyzer, passes through Qapu's gate, gains meaning through Cinga Score and our experts, and finally reaches the organisation as a decision.

Names stay, the work grows
Today Ovoo works in energy with Cinga; tomorrow it will develop new products in other fields. Whatever field we enter, we will keep taking our names from the same roots. Like an ovoo raised stone by stone on the steppe, our work rises a little higher every day.
