Data controller

This notice is provided by Ovoo Teknoloji A.Ş., as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), to inform people who subscribe to its email newsletter.

Personal data we process

• Your email address
• Your name, if you choose to share it
• The date and time of your subscription and confirmation, and the IP address they were made from
• Your subscription status and any unsubscribe record
• Records of clicks on links in newsletter emails

Why we process it

• To send you our press releases and newsletter by email
• To record your subscription and consent, and to prove them when needed
• To act on your request to unsubscribe
• To assess, in aggregate, how the newsletter is received

How we collect it and legal basis

Your data is collected electronically through the subscription form on this site and the confirmation email sent to you. Sending the newsletter and transferring data abroad rely on your explicit consent under Articles 5(1) and 9 of the KVKK. Consent and unsubscribe records are kept because this is necessary to comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend a right (KVKK Article 5(2)(ç) and (e)).

Who receives it

Subscriber records are kept on servers managed by Ovoo Teknoloji A.Ş. Newsletter emails are delivered through an email service provider whose servers may be located abroad; your email address and the content of the email are passed to that provider for delivery. Otherwise your data is not shared with third parties, sold or used for advertising, except where required by legally authorised authorities.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, emails to you stop; consent and unsubscribe records are kept for three years after the subscription ends as evidence in case of dispute, and are then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used for that purpose, to know the third parties it is transferred to, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request its deletion or destruction when the legal conditions are met and to have these actions notified to recipients, to object to an outcome against you resulting solely from automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
